Church Plants

Church planting has been a core value of Peace Baptist Church since its inception in 1993. During Pastor Barnette's first sermon, he envisioned Peace growing by multiplication with church plants. He has used various ministerial positions within the church as a training ground for future pastors of church plants.

In 1999, Pastor Barnette sent out his assistant pastor, Robert Miller, Jr., to plant Trinity Baptist Church in Ellenwood, Georgia.

In 2006, Pastor Barnette sent out two of his ministers, Brian Bullard and Vincent Watson, to start Community Fellowship Baptist Church in Conyers, Georgia and New Christian Center in Loganville, Georgia.

Also in 2006, Peace Baptist Church began sponsoring a mission church, First Caribbean Pacific Church, that seeks to minister to the Asian-Indian population. For three years, First Caribbean worshipped in Peace's facilities on Sunday afternoons. First Caribbean also accepted the call to church planting and planted a mission church, Bhutanese Nepalese Samaparan Mandal Mission Church, that seeks to minister to the Bhutanese population. Peace is also the sponsor church for the Bhutanese Mission Church.

In 2007, Peace also opened its facility to Mission Evangelique Church that seeks to minister to the French African population.

In addition to the church plants within the Metro Atlanta, Peace has supported, sponsored, and built churches internationally. In 1996, Pastor Barnette and Pastor Miller participated in a mission trip to Brazil to build five mission churches. In 1998, the church purchased a tent for a church in Nigeria, Africa. In 2002, Peace partnered with Simon's Branch to send African American missionaries to South Africa. In 2005, Peace sponsored trips to the United States for three South African pastors and their wives. Peace continued to support these pastors with a monthly stipend for three more years.

In 2009, Pastor Barnette incorporated InSeason Leadership Development Ministries to mentor and train pastors and their leadership in healthy church growth.
